The Makerspace Manager’s mailing list is a group managed by Steph Piper, the Makerspace Coordinator at the University of Southern Queensland. It’s made up of Makerspace professionals from Australia, New Zealand, and wider Australasia. It includes Makerspaces within universities, public libraries, schools, community and entrepreneurship focussed spaces.

Manager meetups happen once a month, and the group has now evolved into hosting an annual Makerspace Symposium, hosted at a volunteer university. The inaugural symposium was hosted by UNSW in 2022, UQ in 2023, Monash University in 2024 and ANU in 2025.
